BATTLEFIELD EARTH:
THE ARTWORK

Inspired by the sweeping saga of Battlefield Earth,
a gallery of richly expressive paintings have been created by a wide range of brilliant artists.

The greatest of these artists is none other than Frank Frazetta, the Hugo Award–winning grand master of fantasy illustration. Though the legendary Frazetta earned his fame with spirited and powerful heroic-fantasy art (most notably for Conan and Vampirella), he has included science fiction in his unique and often-copied portfolio, including works for SF stories written by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Frank Frazetta has dramatically portrayed several of
L. Ron Hubbard's vivid science fiction and adventure works in original paintings, and his vision of Battlefield Earth—appropriately titled Man, the Endangered Species—captures not only the primal terror of the alien but the undaunted bravery of the hero and his fierce determination to protect the vulnerable woman he loves.

Other international artists have also offered their own visual windows into a variety of their favorite scenes from Battlefield Earth, many of which are included in our gallery.

Battlefield Earth is inspiring a new generation of readers, too, who love the fast-paced action and page-turning adventure of this compelling tale of the year 3000. There are plans in progress for exciting new media incarnations, ranging from an animated television series to a multiplayer, multiplatform on-line role-playing game.
