Battlefield Earth:
The Music
More than just a novel, Battlefield
Earth is a story that has inspired a range of artwork that
continues to grow today.
Author
L. Ron Hubbard happened to be a composer as well, and he created
a distinctive and original soundtrack music album for his opus in
1982, providing his own musical interpretation of key passages,
characters and moments in the book. The album was one of the very
first to utilize the Fairlight Computer Musical Instrument throughout.
The album offers a unique way for fans of Battlefield
Earth to experience its emotional and dramatic impact through
music in a way that the writer himself intended. Rarely can an author
offer a work expressed in two different media in this way.
Tracks on the Battlefield Earth
music album include:
Mankind Unites
March of the Psychlos
Funeral for a Planet
Alien Visitors Attack
Golden Era of SciFi
The Banker
Windsplitter
Declaration of Peace
The Mining Song
Earth, My Beautiful Home
