Peanutpress.com, an Internet based company which sells eBooks for Palm Pilot electronic
organizers, released
L. Ron Hubbard’s science fiction epic, Battlefield Earth, for sale in eBook format in mid-July. Less than a
month later, the novel is already #7 on the Barnes & Noble eBook bestseller list
(barnesandnoble.com) and #2 on peanutpress.com’s list. Battlefield Earth holds the record for being the largest single book
available for Palm Pilot readers - and it’s obviously one of the most popular ones.
According to Mike Segroves, peanutpress.com’s Vice President of Marketing &
Sales: “Since the release of Stephen King’s Riding the Bullet, Battlefield
Earth has launched out of the gate
faster than any other book we’ve had.”
