Led by Chief Chong-won, the largest Chinese tribe left (comprised
of about 350 people) live in a valley high in the Chinese
mountains. The valley was chosen because the Psychlos
never went there, probably because it had already been mined
out.
Their home is bitterly cold due to the high elevation and
the temperature adversely affects the growth of vegetation,
making it difficult to get food.
The Chinese were successful in keeping a fair amount of their
university records, in spite of the invasion.
They are very literate and speak Mandarin as their primary
language.
Even with the vast majority of the Chinese population having
been wiped out (prior to the invasion there had been almost
a billion people in China), the Chinese play an important
role in the human rebellion.
