With a diameter of just under eight thousand miles, Earth is dwarfed by many other planets in the galaxy, much less the universe—and other universes. However, Earth is, of course, home to the human rebellion and Jonnie Goodboy Tyler.

The Psychlos first encountered Earth (in now ancient times) from a probe sent out by man just before the invasion. As the probe was made from some very rare and expensive metals (expensive to both humans and other races), Intergalactic Mining simply paid the Psychlo governors sixty trillion Galactic credits for the directions and the concession. One gas barrage and they were in business.

In the year 3000, Earth's population is only thirty-five thousand, scattered throughout many mountains and other natural fortresses in hopes of defending themselves from the Psychlos.
